Black History Exhibition Launches as Part of United Church’s 100th Anniversary
A Celebration of Resilience, Belonging, and Bold Discipleship

Georgian Shores United Church, in conjunction with Central Westside United Church, and First United Church are proud to announce the highly anticipated visit of the Black History Exhibition: “Here From the Beginning,” an inspiring tribute to the profound contributions of Black Communities to the United Church of Canada. The exhibition promises to educate, inspire, and empower visitors with it’s message of unity and belonging. The exhibition aims to enable attendees to recall the history of the United Church through the perspectives of Black people, uncovering often-overlooked aspects of the church’s history and interpreting it’s legacy through a new lens.
This milestone event, part of the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the church, will open its doors as follows:
