update: December 8, 2020
The first Worship Service since March 16th was held Sunday, October 4 at 10:30 a.m.
COVID-19 restrictions continue to be in place – masks, social-distancing, handwashing, no hugging, no hand shaking!
Enter through the south driveway ramp door
Names will be taken for contact tracing purposes
There is signage indicating pathways, etc.
Seating: Sit in your family group, in a group of two or on your own. Seating will ensure that those who do not share a family “bubble” are at least 2 metres apart.
Offering will be done at entry and exit points, not collected during the service. (separate for “Change the World” and regular offering)
Children’s Church – Cancelled — Designated Family Buckets will be available for children in the pews.
The worship leaders will remain on the chancel.
No singing – neither congregation nor choir – although Jim, our organist, will continue to provide us with music.
End of Service: The ushers will direct everyone to exit through the 4th Avenue doors unless ramp assistance is required.
No coffee hour following the service and people are encouraged NOT to meet in groups in the parking lot.
Not the service we are used to, but we can wave to one another across the room and smile behind our masks. We will also have the experience again of worshiping God in community with friends and church neighbours.
Just a couple of reminders:
1) do not attend the service in person if you are not feeling well, and
2) these plans may be altered if circumstances bring about a change in Public Health guidelines.
Stay safe –♥
